Another day, another lesson in lefty lunacy

Via Moonbattery, a story about a man standing up to an "occupy" hippie  (language warning):

And then I leaned over and......................

I had to laugh at that story...  these people seem to think they can enforce their will on anyone and do not seem to be opposed to bullying and violence.  Two can play that game, I guess.

Verum Serum continues to have great coverage of the drug use, vandalism, sexual assault, and general mayhem that continues at most "Occupy" protests, no matter where they are.  Remember the current president has offered sympathy to these people.    Rather than re-post all the stories, I'll just link over there.  If you want to see what these people are about, go take a look.

"Occupy" movement coverage

At Breitbart, video of these degenerates harassing conservatives, some women and children, on their way to an Americans for Prosperity event.   More classy behavior.

More mayhem

Greece's current state should serve as a warning, but hippies and leftists appear to be allergic to things like facts, real statistics, and evidence.... they react to it like Dracula to holy water..

The collapse in Greece

Need I mention the standards of living and the lack of freedom in socialist utopias such as Cuba and North Korea?   How about China?   Maybe some countries in South America?     This is what the future holds for all of us if we don't stand our ground against these people and vote Obama out next year.

Wisconsin News

Althouse has a story on people interfering with Governor Walker's speech in Chicago.  I agree with her opinion that this ongoing immature behavior only serves to make the Governor look better.  His reforms are working.   These people keep making themselves look like spoiled, immature, bratty children.

Disruptive behavior

In other Wisconsin news, a teacher gets a reprimand for taking kids to a protest, which is good, but he should be fired or suspended...

Take your kids out of public schools

As Wisconsin prepares for the epic battle of the "Recall Scott Walker" campaign, here is some food for thought:

Recall fatigue

Premature recall

I can't wait for these morons to show up at my door requesting my signature on the petition.....

In praise of capitalism

Great commentary at PJ media about capitalism and the concept of "economic justice".

In praise of capitalism

Best quotes:

"Most people who advocate robbing Peter to pay Paul always imagine themselves as Paul — never as Peter. But when their desired forced redistribution is applied at a national level, the result is the near-universal misery and squalor of socialist countries like Cuba and North Korea. Except for a few political elites, everyone is equal — but poor."

"I don’t want to live in a dog-eat-dog world of constant “redistribution” and mutual predation where I survive only by looting from those wealthier than me, while those poorer than me survive by looting from me. Instead, I want a capitalist society which allows the top 1% the freedom to make their lives better — and in the process makes my life better as well."

I couldn't have put it better myself.

How did I miss this before??

A non-answer from Pepsi

This is the response I've received from my email to Pepsico.

Thank you for contacting us at PepsiCo.  We appreciate your thoughtful feedback and would like to take a moment to share some information we hope you will find helpful.
First, Senomyx does not provide ingredients to PepsiCo, nor do they manufacture PepsiCo products.  Our work with Senomyx is focused on beverage sweetener research to help us reduce sugar in future global products.  The integrity of our products is critical to PepsiCo as well as our consumers, and we use only ingredients that meet FDA requirements.  Senomyx utilizes well-established and long-approved research processes that are widely used today by many companies within the food and beverage industry.  As with each of our research partners, Senomyx is required to meet all relevant industry and government regulatory standards in all its processes and methods.
Thanks again for writing.
Kind regards,
Asheley
Consumer Relations Representative

No acknowledgement of the source of the research materials they use or the fact that although Senomyx does not make Pepsi products, they are working on potential future ingredients through the use of fetal cells. Ghouls.

Liberty, morality, faith

Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.
Alexis de Tocqueville

This is where the left gets it wrong every time.  They talk about freedom, but that's not what they really want, they want license; as in licentious:  lacking legal or moral restraints; especially: disregarding sexual restraints: marked by disregard for strict rules of correctness.     They want sexual freedom, freedom of "artistic" expression,  freedom from rules and restrictions on personal boundaries.   "If it feels good, do it".   They do not want true economic freedom, freedom of thought and opinion (see what happens when you disagree with them), or religious freedom if anyone is free to "condemn" their licentiousness.    In a truly free society, they may have their licentiousness, but the moral are also free to criticize them, correct them, or (heaven forbid) pray for them.   This, they do not want.

John Adams said:  "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other".     Maybe this is why the left wants to "interpret" or even destroy the Constitution.  They know it prevents them from their man-made utopia, which is an illusion.  This world will never be made perfect by the efforts of men, and the closest we can come to it on our own is through faith in God.

Noah Webster, author of the first American Speller and the first Dictionary stated, "The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. . . All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible."

Look at the "Occupy" movement.  Look at what they are doing.  What they are proposing.  What they are rejecting.   More and more photos, videos, and reports are coming out every day about the licentiousness, destruction of property, disregard for personal property and safety,  and politics of envy and greed that define this "movement".    It is ugly and it is evil.

I know this is getting redundant, but let me repeat:  the only way this "movement" can achieve its purpose is by coercion, force, and violence or at the very least, the complete submission and enslavement of the free people of this country.

Anti-capitalist revolution?

Cost to taxpayers

"Occupiers" cost workers their wages

Toqueville's words on democracy and socialism

Toqueville wrote:

"Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom; socialism restricts it.  Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality.  But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude."

I had a political science professor in college who referenced Toqueville a lot and I did not appreciate it at the time, being a dumb college kid, indoctrinated by the liberal media and schools.   Now, since I have grown up and learned to think, I am grateful that this professor introduced us to these writings.  All students should read Toqueville.

Truer words were never spoken.   I am going to be reading through Hayek's "The Road to Serfdom" and I think I'll be posting things that strike me as I go through.

Today's Episode of Left-Wing Madness

  • So the "Occupy" movement keeps getting better and better (sarcasm).    Things are escalating all over the place.   Oakland and Seattle have both had significant problems with vandalism and other lawlessness. Take a look:

Oakland gets ugly

More Oakland gets ugly

And in Seattle, a CNN reporter Tweets this:

Like a scene out of the French revolution: protesting outside Sheraton where biz leaders can be seen eating dinner

If you check out this at the Daily Caller, you'll see that some of these "99%-ers" actually live more comfortably than you and I do, or at least more than I do.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Occupy Wall Street

Great commentary at Reason    Money quote:

You will notice that the Occupy Wall Street crowds—and the progressives who support them—focus on bringing the wealthy down to earth rather than lifting the 99 percent. They have a nearly religious belief that too much wealth is fundamentally immoral and unhealthy for society. The economic systems they cheer on would coerce downward mobility for the sake of equality but ignore prosperity for the people they claim to represent.  If progressive were interested in mitigating inequality, they would support the dynamism of free markets to allow the merit of ideas, products, and services to win the day rather than stifle companies and pick winners in the name of imagined "progress." Yes, "too big to fail" means banks, but it also means union-backed bureaucracies, political parties, car companies, and green energy—nd more.

Go read for yourself:  Want equality? Support Capitalism

If you read the links, you can see the photos of these "protests" with slogans about killing cops and bankers,  supporting communism,  class warfare and more of the same.   I've been saying this since the beginning:  this will not end well.   It can't, unless these people give up their politics of envy and go home.  I don't see that happening.  They've invested too much time and energy to retreat now.  They have already been getting more agitated and violent.    They want what they want and just appear to be getting more radicalized as the time goes by.  Rational people need to stand up against these hooligans.

Occupy movement getting more violent

Here's a link to coverage over at Michelle Malkin.  Things in Oakland are getting ugly.  Unions are involved.  Imagine that.

Violence and property damage

Big Government is keeping track of the "rap sheet" of the Occupy movement

Peaceful movement......

And more from Big Government.  ACORN involved in paying homeless people to take part in protests.

ACORN involved??

We see the protesters attitude toward jobs in this video (the jobs were REAL jobs)

I don't wanna work, I just want to bang on these drums all day!

More rape and mayhem at Occupy events.....  seriously, look at all this.  No sane person, let alone a Christian can support this "movement".  It is evil.  Their goal is to overturn our economic system.  When that is accomplished, they will finish overturning everything else until this country is unrecognizable.  Let me repeat this again:  The goals and aims of the "Occupy" movement CANNOT be accomplished without government force and coercion, and most likely, violence.  These are not peaceful, harmless hippies and college students.  They are real radicals with real radical support.

Interesting take on the hypocrisy and projection of these people.

Who are you calling greedy?

Use of aborted fetal cells in food research??

I have had a lifelong love affair with Pepsi.  LOVE it.  Never been a coke person.   Now I guess my addiction is cured:

Pepsi using aborted fetal cells in product research

I cannot in good conscience give this company my money.  Abortion is murder, folks, no matter how much anyone tries to rationalize it.  The Bible says God knitted us together in the womb and knew us before we were born.  Babies are an incredible gift.  They have life and can feel pain even inside the womb, before they are viable.    It makes me incredibly sad.    I urge everyone to stop buying Pepsi products as long as they continue to use human cells obtained by murder.   Those belong to a life created by God and snuffed out by an abortionist.

Economic Freedom

Really great video about economic freedom and how it is related to quality of life.  Based on sound numbers.  I would also say that religious freedom is also high on the list for quality of life, actually, it is even more important.  Lots of our current leaders and even some of our citizens think more government  intervention is the solution, when actually it is the problem.

Recall Scott Walker? I think not...

So, there are signs up at work inviting people to meetings to begin working on the "recall Scott Walker" campaign.   Despite losing the Supreme Court election and failing to take back the legislature, they still persist in trying to force their will on the rest of the state.   Walker's reforms have shown great success all over the state.  School districts are saving money and still are able to better serve the students, since money can go directly to them instead of teachers' Cadillac benefits.

Taxes are going down

Getting out of the WEA insurance plan is saving districts big money

What changing insurance can do

Potential for merit pay for state workers instead of automatic raises.  Its about time!  Why should the lazy jackass who goofs off all day get the same pay that the hard-working employees get?  Earn your pay like the private sector has to!

Merit pay a welcome change

If the unions and the democrats had their way, we'd continue down the road and end up with a mess like Illinois has....  is this what we want for the Badger state?

Illinois a sinking ship

Scott Walker also did the right thing saying no to the high speed rail money.   It would have cost the state billions in the long run.  The government needs to stop subsidizing things that people don't want! Look at what is happening in California with the "bullet train".  Thank you Governor Walker for not allowing us to get involved in this mess.

Money pit

We also have concealed carry!  About time!   What I have posted is a small sample of the successes and progress being made in Wisconsin.  Lots of good things are happening.  Turning things around after all the years of Doyle, democrats, and unions running amok is going to take time, but it can be done!   Conservatives need to stay involved, educate people around us and keep these loons from recalling Walker and putting in another union puppet to undo the progress we've made.  The unions care about no one but themselves and the people at the top have a vested interest in promoting class envy and class warfare.  Let's not let that happen!  Stay vigilant!
