Another day, another lesson in lefty lunacy

Via Moonbattery, a story about a man standing up to an "occupy" hippie  (language warning):

And then I leaned over and......................

I had to laugh at that story...  these people seem to think they can enforce their will on anyone and do not seem to be opposed to bullying and violence.  Two can play that game, I guess.

Verum Serum continues to have great coverage of the drug use, vandalism, sexual assault, and general mayhem that continues at most "Occupy" protests, no matter where they are.  Remember the current president has offered sympathy to these people.    Rather than re-post all the stories, I'll just link over there.  If you want to see what these people are about, go take a look.

"Occupy" movement coverage

At Breitbart, video of these degenerates harassing conservatives, some women and children, on their way to an Americans for Prosperity event.   More classy behavior.

More mayhem

Greece's current state should serve as a warning, but hippies and leftists appear to be allergic to things like facts, real statistics, and evidence.... they react to it like Dracula to holy water..

The collapse in Greece

Need I mention the standards of living and the lack of freedom in socialist utopias such as Cuba and North Korea?   How about China?   Maybe some countries in South America?     This is what the future holds for all of us if we don't stand our ground against these people and vote Obama out next year.

Wisconsin News

Althouse has a story on people interfering with Governor Walker's speech in Chicago.  I agree with her opinion that this ongoing immature behavior only serves to make the Governor look better.  His reforms are working.   These people keep making themselves look like spoiled, immature, bratty children.

Disruptive behavior

In other Wisconsin news, a teacher gets a reprimand for taking kids to a protest, which is good, but he should be fired or suspended...

Take your kids out of public schools

As Wisconsin prepares for the epic battle of the "Recall Scott Walker" campaign, here is some food for thought:

Recall fatigue

Premature recall

I can't wait for these morons to show up at my door requesting my signature on the petition.....

In praise of capitalism

Great commentary at PJ media about capitalism and the concept of "economic justice".

In praise of capitalism

Best quotes:

"Most people who advocate robbing Peter to pay Paul always imagine themselves as Paul — never as Peter. But when their desired forced redistribution is applied at a national level, the result is the near-universal misery and squalor of socialist countries like Cuba and North Korea. Except for a few political elites, everyone is equal — but poor."

"I don’t want to live in a dog-eat-dog world of constant “redistribution” and mutual predation where I survive only by looting from those wealthier than me, while those poorer than me survive by looting from me. Instead, I want a capitalist society which allows the top 1% the freedom to make their lives better — and in the process makes my life better as well."

I couldn't have put it better myself.

How did I miss this before??

A non-answer from Pepsi

This is the response I've received from my email to Pepsico.

Thank you for contacting us at PepsiCo.  We appreciate your thoughtful feedback and would like to take a moment to share some information we hope you will find helpful.
First, Senomyx does not provide ingredients to PepsiCo, nor do they manufacture PepsiCo products.  Our work with Senomyx is focused on beverage sweetener research to help us reduce sugar in future global products.  The integrity of our products is critical to PepsiCo as well as our consumers, and we use only ingredients that meet FDA requirements.  Senomyx utilizes well-established and long-approved research processes that are widely used today by many companies within the food and beverage industry.  As with each of our research partners, Senomyx is required to meet all relevant industry and government regulatory standards in all its processes and methods.
Thanks again for writing.
Kind regards,
Asheley
Consumer Relations Representative

No acknowledgement of the source of the research materials they use or the fact that although Senomyx does not make Pepsi products, they are working on potential future ingredients through the use of fetal cells. Ghouls.

Liberty, morality, faith

Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.
Alexis de Tocqueville

This is where the left gets it wrong every time.  They talk about freedom, but that's not what they really want, they want license; as in licentious:  lacking legal or moral restraints; especially: disregarding sexual restraints: marked by disregard for strict rules of correctness.     They want sexual freedom, freedom of "artistic" expression,  freedom from rules and restrictions on personal boundaries.   "If it feels good, do it".   They do not want true economic freedom, freedom of thought and opinion (see what happens when you disagree with them), or religious freedom if anyone is free to "condemn" their licentiousness.    In a truly free society, they may have their licentiousness, but the moral are also free to criticize them, correct them, or (heaven forbid) pray for them.   This, they do not want.

John Adams said:  "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other".     Maybe this is why the left wants to "interpret" or even destroy the Constitution.  They know it prevents them from their man-made utopia, which is an illusion.  This world will never be made perfect by the efforts of men, and the closest we can come to it on our own is through faith in God.

Noah Webster, author of the first American Speller and the first Dictionary stated, "The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. . . All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible."

Look at the "Occupy" movement.  Look at what they are doing.  What they are proposing.  What they are rejecting.   More and more photos, videos, and reports are coming out every day about the licentiousness, destruction of property, disregard for personal property and safety,  and politics of envy and greed that define this "movement".    It is ugly and it is evil.

I know this is getting redundant, but let me repeat:  the only way this "movement" can achieve its purpose is by coercion, force, and violence or at the very least, the complete submission and enslavement of the free people of this country.

Anti-capitalist revolution?

Toqueville's words on democracy and socialism

Toqueville wrote:

"Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom; socialism restricts it.  Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality.  But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude."

I had a political science professor in college who referenced Toqueville a lot and I did not appreciate it at the time, being a dumb college kid, indoctrinated by the liberal media and schools.   Now, since I have grown up and learned to think, I am grateful that this professor introduced us to these writings.  All students should read Toqueville.

Truer words were never spoken.   I am going to be reading through Hayek's "The Road to Serfdom" and I think I'll be posting things that strike me as I go through.

Today's Episode of Left-Wing Madness

  • So the "Occupy" movement keeps getting better and better (sarcasm).    Things are escalating all over the place.   Oakland and Seattle have both had significant problems with vandalism and other lawlessness. Take a look:

Oakland gets ugly

More Oakland gets ugly

And in Seattle, a CNN reporter Tweets this:

Like a scene out of the French revolution: protesting outside Sheraton where biz leaders can be seen eating dinner

If you check out this at the Daily Caller, you'll see that some of these "99%-ers" actually live more comfortably than you and I do, or at least more than I do.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Occupy Wall Street

Great commentary at Reason    Money quote:

You will notice that the Occupy Wall Street crowds—and the progressives who support them—focus on bringing the wealthy down to earth rather than lifting the 99 percent. They have a nearly religious belief that too much wealth is fundamentally immoral and unhealthy for society. The economic systems they cheer on would coerce downward mobility for the sake of equality but ignore prosperity for the people they claim to represent.  If progressive were interested in mitigating inequality, they would support the dynamism of free markets to allow the merit of ideas, products, and services to win the day rather than stifle companies and pick winners in the name of imagined "progress." Yes, "too big to fail" means banks, but it also means union-backed bureaucracies, political parties, car companies, and green energy—nd more.

Go read for yourself:  Want equality? Support Capitalism

If you read the links, you can see the photos of these "protests" with slogans about killing cops and bankers,  supporting communism,  class warfare and more of the same.   I've been saying this since the beginning:  this will not end well.   It can't, unless these people give up their politics of envy and go home.  I don't see that happening.  They've invested too much time and energy to retreat now.  They have already been getting more agitated and violent.    They want what they want and just appear to be getting more radicalized as the time goes by.  Rational people need to stand up against these hooligans.

Occupy movement getting more violent

Here's a link to coverage over at Michelle Malkin.  Things in Oakland are getting ugly.  Unions are involved.  Imagine that.

Violence and property damage

Big Government is keeping track of the "rap sheet" of the Occupy movement

Peaceful movement......

And more from Big Government.  ACORN involved in paying homeless people to take part in protests.

ACORN involved??

We see the protesters attitude toward jobs in this video (the jobs were REAL jobs)

I don't wanna work, I just want to bang on these drums all day!

More rape and mayhem at Occupy events.....  seriously, look at all this.  No sane person, let alone a Christian can support this "movement".  It is evil.  Their goal is to overturn our economic system.  When that is accomplished, they will finish overturning everything else until this country is unrecognizable.  Let me repeat this again:  The goals and aims of the "Occupy" movement CANNOT be accomplished without government force and coercion, and most likely, violence.  These are not peaceful, harmless hippies and college students.  They are real radicals with real radical support.

Interesting take on the hypocrisy and projection of these people.

Who are you calling greedy?

Use of aborted fetal cells in food research??

I have had a lifelong love affair with Pepsi.  LOVE it.  Never been a coke person.   Now I guess my addiction is cured:

Pepsi using aborted fetal cells in product research

I cannot in good conscience give this company my money.  Abortion is murder, folks, no matter how much anyone tries to rationalize it.  The Bible says God knitted us together in the womb and knew us before we were born.  Babies are an incredible gift.  They have life and can feel pain even inside the womb, before they are viable.    It makes me incredibly sad.    I urge everyone to stop buying Pepsi products as long as they continue to use human cells obtained by murder.   Those belong to a life created by God and snuffed out by an abortionist.

Economic Freedom

Really great video about economic freedom and how it is related to quality of life.  Based on sound numbers.  I would also say that religious freedom is also high on the list for quality of life, actually, it is even more important.  Lots of our current leaders and even some of our citizens think more government  intervention is the solution, when actually it is the problem.

Recall Scott Walker? I think not...

So, there are signs up at work inviting people to meetings to begin working on the "recall Scott Walker" campaign.   Despite losing the Supreme Court election and failing to take back the legislature, they still persist in trying to force their will on the rest of the state.   Walker's reforms have shown great success all over the state.  School districts are saving money and still are able to better serve the students, since money can go directly to them instead of teachers' Cadillac benefits.

Taxes are going down

Getting out of the WEA insurance plan is saving districts big money

What changing insurance can do

Potential for merit pay for state workers instead of automatic raises.  Its about time!  Why should the lazy jackass who goofs off all day get the same pay that the hard-working employees get?  Earn your pay like the private sector has to!

Merit pay a welcome change

If the unions and the democrats had their way, we'd continue down the road and end up with a mess like Illinois has....  is this what we want for the Badger state?

Illinois a sinking ship

Scott Walker also did the right thing saying no to the high speed rail money.   It would have cost the state billions in the long run.  The government needs to stop subsidizing things that people don't want! Look at what is happening in California with the "bullet train".  Thank you Governor Walker for not allowing us to get involved in this mess.

Money pit

We also have concealed carry!  About time!   What I have posted is a small sample of the successes and progress being made in Wisconsin.  Lots of good things are happening.  Turning things around after all the years of Doyle, democrats, and unions running amok is going to take time, but it can be done!   Conservatives need to stay involved, educate people around us and keep these loons from recalling Walker and putting in another union puppet to undo the progress we've made.  The unions care about no one but themselves and the people at the top have a vested interest in promoting class envy and class warfare.  Let's not let that happen!  Stay vigilant!

Just who supports the "Occupy" movement?

Via Pajamas Media, Zombie has compiled a list of OWS supporters.  Not surprising to me but may be an eye-opener for some.  Go check it out.

99%??? I think not.

A plan to end entitlements

Brilliant analysis at Pajamas Media.

Here is a sample:

For nearly two centuries, Americans, including millions of penniless immigrants, eloquently proved the point. The world marveled at the typical American’s self-reliance, be it his ability to earn a living, build his house, fix his car, or move up the social ladder. In every domain, when left free to think, act, and enjoy the rewards of hard work, Americans surpassed themselves and the rest of the world.
But advocates of entitlement programs deny this. They view man (except perhaps that special breed which constitutes the governing class) as feeble and incapable. He can’t think or plan for himself. He must be forced to act for his own “good.” Indeed, as we saw with the passage of Obamacare, there’s no longer even a pretense of persuasion; we childlike peons are to find out what’s in store for us when the laws have been passed. Ever since the New Deal, it’s this paternalistic view that’s guided government policy.
Tragically, however, the paternalists have the causation backwards. In actuality, it’s their myriad of forced redistribution programs that has fostered a mentality of dependence among the populace. With each new program they implement, they further sever the link between personal action and personal outcomes. Slowly people lose the idea of individual responsibility, and begin to believe that somehow they’re “entitled to” or have a “right to” the products of other people’s efforts. As a result, America’s independent spirit is waning.
A final key moral question is whether people should be treated primarily as independent individuals or as interchangeable parts of a larger collective.

Go read the rest for yourself.

Wisconsin-It's Working. Unions.... go away.

The Economy Stinks, in case you hadn't noticed. Obama works to make it worse.

Our economic woes are caused by many things and the government is at the top of the list, along with corruption, crony capitalism, and entitlements.   Great analysis by the Wall Street Journal.

Just say "NO" to Keynesian economics!

This is what we need:

Paul Ryan speaks

And this is what we don't need:

Bypassing Congress and "governing" through executive order

Obama is increasingly pushing through his agenda by working around Congress via executive order and government agency rules and regulations.  He is grabbing more power, creating more unsustainable debt, and putting more burden on the taxpayers.  Not a way to fix the economy.

Turning to socialism is not the answer to our problems.  Getting the government out of the way is a good first step.

Leftist Hypocrites? Say it ain't so.........

So, how is it that the people who want income redistributed and for the "haves" to pay their fair share,  don't want to share their organic chicken and beet with goat cheese salad with the homeless?   The "Occupiers" are complaining that the homeless and ex-cons are showing up for the free food (and just WHO is funding all this?).    No hypocrisy there, right?  And, FYI, the vast majority of the protesters are white and the majority of the "freeloaders" (the occupiers used this term, isn't that special) are non-white.  Yet they accuse the right of racism.  That is rich....    it is so very frustrating to watch the media cover up for them or compare them to the Tea Party.  The Tea Party never acted like this, not even close.  And they have a clear, open agenda.  No comparison.

You have to share, but we don't.. especially with those awful homeless people..

Class warfare is an ugly thing, historically orchestrated by behind-the-scenes elites, who keep the spoils for themselves once the bottom feeders get done with the dirty work of overturning society and overthrowing the government (usually violently). Those on the bottom may end up better off than those that they now oppress but they don't get to share the wealth they steal with the elites. Same thing every time, yet the left somehow thinks this time they will get it right; that they won't have to spill as much blood, but they underestimate the love of freedom and liberty. These people are willing to achieve their goals with violence, which is so ironic when they accuse the right of being the ones who are violent. Communism, fascism, even Nazi-ism are all deeply rooted in left wing ideology; redistribution of wealth, government control/regulation of industry and finance, the class struggle. These are the ideologies that have spilled the most blood, not right-wing. Don't think that the “Occupy” movement can't at least attempt the same thing. They are well-funded. They appear disorganized but they may be more organized than we think. They already have talked about the use of violence. Fliers found in Arizona talk about shooting police. They have been openly provoking police in an attempt to escalate the issue and gain public support by crying “police brutality”. They put women, children and disabled people on the perimeter of the protest sites so that if police intervention is needed, they have to go through the most vulnerable people, creating another image to garner sympathy.

But...  this a a peaceful, non-violent movement, right?

They would never dream of indoctrinating children, right?

Continuing great coverage at Verum Serum

Forcibly taking from one to give to another does not make you virtuous or righteous nor does it make our society virtuous or righteous. It breeds laziness, resentment on the parts of both the takers and the givers, and the end result is oppression and slavery. We cannot and should not compel charity. Charity and helping people are good things but must be done willingly. America is a generous country. We give millions, even billions, of dollars worth of cash, goods, and time. Even “evil” corporations do. Our “poor” are richer than most of the rest of the world. We have created a sense of entitlement to the earnings of other people.
And where do these Hollywood types get off telling the rest of us what to do? They are far and away wealthier than the rest of us? Why aren't they giving away more of what they earn by play-acting for a living while the rest of us work real jobs?
And I'll leave you with this.  Ignorance, anger, hatred, envy.  This is what this movement is made of.  It cannot end well.

Can we question their patriotism now?

Video at the Blaze of an "Occupy" protester saying "f**k the police, military, USA" and he is definitely not alone.  This movement is not about saving this country, it is about destroying it.

F**k the police!

Verum Serum has excellent coverage of the Occupy movement around the country,  Rather than re-posting it all, I'll just link to the main page and you can check it out for yourself.

Good coverage

Conservatives ignore this at their peril.  This is not something we can ignore.  These people are serious and have the backing of the media, Hollywood, and the democrats.

A Letter to Christians Who Support the Occupy Movement (or any other Leftist cause)

I have lots of Christian friends who hold lots of opposing views on politics and current events.  There is nothing wrong with that.  God gave us free will, the ability to think and reason, and the power to make up our own minds.  Debate is good.  I am concerned, however, with Christians who support any of the "Occupy" movements.   SOME of what these people are demanding may sound reasonable.  Greed is evil; share the wealth; give to the poor.  We should want to help the poor.  But we need to look further than the slogans.

For example, a friend posted the following quote on Facebook, taken from "Occupy Los Angeles"page :"The test of our progress is not whether we add to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough to those who have too little".   Great quote, sounds wonderful.  The issue is, though, what God has asked us to do and the example he set for us.   God gave us free will.  He did not compel us in any way to do anything, even to accept the gift of salvation that He offers. He tells us as individuals and as churches to care for the poor and love one another, commands us, even, but never forces or imposes on us.  Do we honestly think He desires us to compel one another?

God loves a cheerful giver. He asks us to give to the point of sacrifice, not force others to do it.  He does not want our gifts if they are grudgingly given.  Who are we to think that compelling others to give as we, ourselves, were commanded to give is pleasing to God?    What this socialist movement wants is to compel people, to force them.   The end result of what they are asking is totalitarianism.  God is not a dictator.    At the same time He asks us to care for those who cannot care for themselves, He admonishes the lazy, indolent, and slothful.  He expects those who are able, to be productive.  This movement is not in line with God's principles.

Look at the people behind these movements.  Educate yourself about this and what is actually happening at these demonstrations.  The Communist and Nazi parties support the movement.  The demonstration areas are full of garbage and filth, rats are prevalent, there are drugs and alcohol, sexual assault and harassment, theft, harassment of business owners and local workers and families.   Should any decent person, let alone a Christian, support this absolute degeneracy?

Thoughts from another blog:

What Jesus Would Not Do

Free college education.. someone has to pay for it.  Get a real degree, something that gives you a profession or trade, not some piece of paper that makes you a professional whiner or victim, such as women's studies or some such nonsense.  Do something tangible, real, and for heaven's sake, don't expect the rest of us to pay for it!!  Do people realize that many of these "protesters", especially the East Coast ones, are actually trust fund, college-paid-for-by-rich parents hypocrites??  A bunch of ignorant of real life radicals trying to enforce a horrific "progressive" agenda on the rest of us.  What they really want, if it comes to fruition, will transform the most free nation and economy on earth to a totalitarian police state.  The things they want can only come through force and government control.

Free College Education??

Educate yourselves and don't take this lying down.

Today's Installment of the "Occupy Wall Street Freak Show"

Sooo... not only do these lazy, greedy hippies want to take from the rich, apparently they can't keep from taking from each other either, according to this article in the New York Post:

Thieves prey on fellow protesters.

Obama seems to think this is all A-OK.  Nobody succeeds without the government's help, he says.  As Penn and Teller would say, "Bullshit!".   People who are creative, smart, hard-working and tenacious can and do make it without government help every day.

People need government help??

For all Obama's talk about "shared sacrifice", what the hell is he sacrificing?  He and Michelle Antoinette seem to be living pretty high on the hog and he still seems to be golfing more than he should.  Ayn Rand had this to say about such men:  "It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master."

This man is a menace and he is in the White House.  He has thrown his support in with these cretins.   Our President is actively supporting socialists who want to destroy our way of life.

It's the Marxism, Stupid

I've been saying for years (as have others) that most leftists are really communists at heart and that most liberals have swallowed the Kool-Aid they are selling.  People think I'm harsh, or overreacting, or a little wacky and paranoid... but these things are proving true.  Of course, the media won't report it.  They are too busy trying to portray this all in a positive light, while they bent over backwards to paint the Tea Party as extremists.  Read the following and decide for yourself.  The "Occupy" movement is all about overthrowing our system and replacing it with some form of communism.  They want to take from the producers and give to the moochers.  We need to stand up and say "NO!"

I'll leave you with these quotes from Frank J. at IMAO:

"Basically everything bad the left pretended the Tea Party was is what Occupy Wall Street actually is. That’s why they call it “projection.”
When the left were claiming the Tea Party would become violent, they were saying, “That’s what we would do if we were in their place.”

They really do want to overthrow our system..... this is not an exaggeration.

Go read and watch at Rebelpundit:

"ultimately, the bourgeoisie won't go without violent means.... long live revolution. Long live socialism"

I am afraid for our country.   How can these people be gaining ground?  Hasn't the repeated failure of communism and the current collapse of socialist economies showed us anything?  What is going to happen to some of these idealists when they realize they have been pawns and are not going to get a piece of the pie?  When they realize they are not going to be "as equal" as the elites who rule them?    Are we heading toward a Russia in 1917 sort of scenario?

Wake up, people!

Lessons in Alinsky

Or this from the Blaze:

It's about money, power, and socialism, not workers.

They are marching along with the college hippie Marxists on Wall Street:

Labor unions join the protests

I could go on and on.  They show their true colors time and time again.  Unions are not about "workers rights"..  They are about money, greed, power, and the overthrow of our our system.  Don't let them fool you.

I'll leave you with this quote from Flyover Country at The Blogmocracy:

"On a Personal note: I was at a conference recently in St. Pete, Fl. There was a Starbucks near the convention and I saw some recruiters for Occupy Tampa. I asked them what are their goals. One of the sociology students was telling me, they wanted free health-care, free education and guaranteed jobs. I retorted that they sounded like the Soviets. After a back and forth, I told him that he’s crazy if he thinks he can overthrow the government. I reminded him, it’s the Rightwing in this country who has most of the guns. I saw this clown go pale and look scared.
Reality hit him."

Ugliness from the left..

These people are beyond belief.   So blatant, yet the mainstream media, democrats, Hollywood all seem to condone it.  This is noting new, of course, but so absolutely maddening to those of us with a functioning brain.....  these are just a sample of recent events.

Via Moonbattery:

"Proponents of a more refined First Amendment argue that this freedom should be treated not as a right but as a privilege — a special entitlement granted by the state on a conditional basis that can be revoked if it is ever abused or maltreated."
This from a report from 4 democratic senators.....

Unions involved in Wall Street class warfare
Economic Terrorism

This is just a tiny sample of what is going on.   Wake up and smell the Constitution burning!!  These people are getting more and more bold every day.  They have their Manchurian candidate in the White House.  We need to stand up for our country and our rights.  Economic and religious freedom and property rights are they keys to a successful and prosperous nation.  These people are attempting to subvert and overthrow the system that has made this country so great.

This says it all.  Go home, you smelly, commie, hippies!!

Letter to the protesters.

Ace of Spades has a great post on this as well.  From what I can see, there are a lot of whiny people with student loan debt that think somehow someone else should pay....  Look. I'm sorry some of you have had some bad luck.  Many of you made bad choices, such as getting an absolutely worthless degree and ended up working at Starbucks.  Certainly there is a lot of greed on Wall Street but pushing your agenda will impoverish us all. Socialism/communism does NOT work!

A Small Victory for the Unborn

Court upholds Arizona's Law.. and Planned Parenthood stops abortions at 7 clinics

Interesting that a 2, full disclosure on all options and risks, a 24 hour waiting period, parental notification and a requirement that actual doctors perform the abortions would cause PP to stop performing them.  Nothing unreasonable here but it seems they can't work under these conditions.  Ghouls.

This is what entitlements get us....

Unions Resorting to Attempting Murder?

Via Big Government, a story about a non-union business owner who had been harassed and vandalized by unions for years.  Now he's been shot and the word "SCAB" was painted on his car.  Gee, who uses that kind of language?  Who has been getting increasingly violent in their rhetoric and actions?  Could it be.... unions?

Today's Union Ugliness

Today it is not all from Wisconsin. Unions continue to show the ugliness that they are full of.  Threats of violence, harassment, vandalism.. all part of the tricks of the trade for them.   These people will stop at nothing to gain and retain power.

Union Tactics Against Verizon

And in New Jersey....

They need to be told not to throw poop... really.

Why do these people (and I use that term loosely at this point) need to be told by a judge not to throw feces?  This is discourse?    Also included in the injunction...  nails, glass, spikes....  this is not how we are supposed to operate.   At this point, its not just public sector unions that are the problem.  This is ugly.  They want a class war.  I have noted on this blog before that labor unions and communists are extremely closely connected.    Unions must be stopped!

Great commentary here.
Time to end collective bargaining.

We need more people like this.  We know what happens when children are abducted by strangers.  He saved her and her family untold amounts of pain and suffering, and most likely her life.  What a brave man.  We should all be so willing to step up and do the right thing.  God bless you!

Really, Mental Health Profession, Really?

Can't say I'm surprised by this, with the way the world is going, but I am disturbed, disgusted, and frightened for the future of our children.     It was only a matter of time before it came to this.  The DSM (diagnostic manual for mental health disorders) is being revised and there is a group of mental health professionals and pedophile sympathizers that want pedophilia removed as a disorder.  Really?  There is nothing wrong with raping and terrorizing children?  As someone who has worked in the mental health field for years, I can testify to the damage these animals do; lasting damage.  I will never accept pedophilia as some normal sexual lifestyle.  It is evil and those that are behind this are evil.

Abortionists and Unions-Hellish Union

A Planned Parenthood in Oregon has voted to unionize through the SEIU.  Are you kidding me?  Murderers and thugs joining forces.... greedy ghouls, all of them.  A worker states she loves providing care to women and families.  The cognitive dissonance is maddening.   Abortion is not "women's health care".

10 Things I hate about....

These last few days have put me in the mood for a good rant..... so here goes.  10 things that drive me crazy....................

1. Snotty college liberal pinheads who know nothing about anything except what their professors tell them pretending they are smarter than everyone else.
2. Union-bots who can't think for themselves and just repeat talking points and call names instead of discussing or debating an issue.
3. The fact that most liberals are the MOST intolerant people on the planet...  they are all about superficial tolerance, like skin color, but get out of their political worldview lockstep and see how tolerant they are.
4. The fact that these "tolerant" and "inclusive" liberals are the first people to throw out racial, ethnic, and gay slurs when someone of a "minority" group steps off the liberal plantation.  I rarely hear that sort of thing from my conservative friends or even on conservative the blogs for that matter.  If any trolls start making slurs or threats, they are generally dealt with harshly.  Go look on Daily Kos or Huffington Post and see if the left does the same....
5. Girls who dress and act slutty, give it away to anyone,,, and then complain they can't find a good man to settle down.  Young girls don't realize they have much more power if they don't put out but they all have to be on the same page.... nice girls have an awfully rough time in this society.
6. Militant atheists.  Ok, if you don't want to believe in God, fine... but why do you have to be so obnoxious about it?  They complain about prostelytizing, but are among the worst offenders.
7. That Ghandi quote about liking Christ but not liking Christians.  Ghandi was not such a great guy if you look past the media portrayal.  His non-violence went so far as to simply submit to evil.  He encouraged the Brits and the Jews to willingly submit to the Nazis... yeah, he's a peach.  His extreme form of nonviolence would have allowed Hitler to take over the world.  I'm all for solving things peacefully but sometimes you just have to kill the bad guys.
8. People who like to generalize about Christians and constantly wait for a Christian to stumble or fail in some way, so they can go "see, those Christians are hypocrites" while ignoring the daily murder and mayhem perpetrated by muslims.
9. People who refuse to take a moral stand on anything and those who never call out the liberals and atheists out on their crap, leaving some of us to be the jerks who actually confront them.  The evil of this world is made possible by the sanction good men give it.   Not that we should go around fighting and arguing all the time, but seriously, sometimes someone just needs to say, "you know, that's not quite right".  Sometimes if feels like that person is always me.
10.  The entitlement mentality.  It is why the unions and other goons here in the Badger State won't just shut up and go away.  They keep trying to enforce their will on the rest of the population because they think they are entitled to something.  Same with the rioters in London... they think they are entitled to take what they want and do what they want, regardless of who they hurt.  Same with the punks in Milwaukee.... the list goes on and on.  The entitlement mentality is what is bringing this country to its knees.

Sooo.... yeah.  That's what is on my mind today.  Maybe I'll feel better in the morning.

The London Riots-Before and After

I've never been to England, although I've always wanted to go.  A friend of mine returned from a trip to the UK just a few days before this madness started.  These photos made me incredibly sad... ..sad for the loss of life,  sad for the losses to the home and business owners, sad for the loss of history in some of those buildings, but mostly sad for the loss of our souls, because that is what led to this destruction.  The loss of our souls that comes from relying on the government to give us things that they forcibly take from others.  The moochers vs. the producers.

Here is a link the before and after photos of some areas of London... very, very sad.

For the record, I believe Islam is not a true religion, it is a tyrannical, oppressive political ideology disguised as a religion.  Do the research for yourself.  It is an ugly, satanic religion founded by a pedophile who married a 6 year old and consummated that marriage when she turned 9.  Disgusting.  Islam allows lying, cheating, murdering, and oppressing women in the name of allah.   There is no freedom in Islam, the penalty for leaving the faith is death.  True freedom lies in Christianity, where there is no compulsion.  God gives us a choice.  We do not save ourselves by blind obedience but we are saved through faith and the love of God.  Christians who do harmful or hateful things are shunned by the rest, whereas in Islam, terrorists and murderers are celebrated and held up as martyrs.  They are not condemned by mainstream muslims, for the most part.

Think about how often Christians and our God are made fun of, ridiculed, criticized, and mocked in popular culture and entertainment.  People do that freely because they do not fear being murdered over it.  Contrast that to islam....  think about Comedy Central not showing the depiction of muhammed on South Parkout of fear,  ask Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Geert Wilder, Theo Van Gogh (oops, you can't, they killed him), or the cartoonists in Denmark (these are just a few examples)  about the repercussions of criticizing islam.  There is no comparison between  Christianity and islam and anyone who tries is intellectually dishonest, lying,  uninformed, or any combination of those.

Individual Mandate Unconstitutional...

Gee, ya think???  I can't believe the court was actually divided on this.  Of course, I can't believe that this monstrosity passed in the first place or that they are only striking down the individual mandate, not the whole darn thing.  Sigh.......  The democrats and RINOs have been wiping their behinds with the Constitution for years now.   I see no sign of it stopping.    We are headed the way of Greece and Spain and the UK.  We are witnessing what appears to be the fall of the entire western civilization and they are giving bread and circuses.. or maybe government cheese and sex scandals, food stamps and Hollywood??

It's even more maddening how many people don't see it, can't understand that this current system of spending and handouts is not "sustainable" (to use one of their favorite words) and counterproductive.  We've produced generations of people who've never worked an honest day's work but are ungrateful for the freebies that they get and demand ever more from "the rich" who keep the economy moving.

The London Riots-The end result of liberalism.

Lots of people have written about this the last 4 days.  This is one of the best ones I've seen; brutal in its honesty.  Why can't some people understand that they are the cause of this problem, and many others.  Eliminating things like civic pride, personal responsibility, respect for others, and most importantly, faith, will always lead to chaos and destruction.   These kids are not lacking "self esteem", they are lacking esteem for other people and their country.

Wisconsin Has Spoken

Great commentary written by Chris from Racine.  Couldn't have said it better myself.  Go read it for yourself.  As for me, I'll just say.. "Unions, democrats, and leftist special interests, just GO AWAY!"

Wisconsin Has Spoken

I can see 2012 from my house!

From HotAir:

Unions go 0 for 2 in Wisconsin
No, I’m not talking about last night’s tally of recall districts, which went Republican 4-2. That narrowly denied unions in Wisconsin (and let’s not kid ourselves, nationwide) the ultimate victory they needed — a change in control of the state Senate that would have produced gridlock for at least the next several months. In the end, they could only capture the Senate seat from a strong Democratic district and another from a scandal-plagued Republican, and neither one of those impressively.

And from Ann Althouse:

If the Democrats had won 1 more seat in yesterday's recalls, what expansive assertions would we be hearing today?

Imagine if they'd gotten their majority. What gloating and grandiose claims would gush forth? They'd be merciless. The recall elections were a referendum on Walker! A referendum on the Tea Party! A victory for Obama and for taxing the pants off the rich! Especially the Koch Brothers!

It was just one state senate seat that made the difference. The Republicans got it. Should they exult and make their version of the extreme statements the Democrats would be making right now if Fred Clark had managed to scramble over the top in District 14? (If only he hadn't quipped that he'd like to smack that lady around, or if her answering machine hadn't caught it, this country would be a completely different place today, now, wouldn't it?)

But the Republicans will probably go with graciousness, won't they? Why do they do that? Some attitude of restraint inherent in conservatism? Fear of Democrats chiding them about civility, coming together, and compromise? It's good not to gloat, but I just want to point out: The Democrats would have gloated. Am I wrong?

Riots in Britain

Here are a few must-reads about the riots in London.  RIOTS, not protests.  These people are destroying their neighborhoods, their city, their country.  How sad.  This is the end result of years of socialist/progressive government.  It never ends well.  We could be facing the same thing here soon.  The difference here will be 2 things:  the Second Amendment and the independent American spirit.  We still have some of that.  Years of handouts and mollycoddling in Britain have ruined them.  We are not quite as far down that path but it is where we are headed if things don't change.

As I said, MUST READS:

What the Left Wing Really Thinks of our Troops

Here is a link to Right Wings News who has a story about comments on the blog Huffington Post.  Comments regarding our military.  These people are truly despicable.

Here's an example:

marathon43
They got exactly what they deserved. They voluntarily traveled half-way around the world to kill people who had never done them any harm. They people they were trying to kill killed them first. That’s exactly how things should be. Let’s also remember that our troops have weapons far superior to anything possessed by the people they are trying to kill. Our troops are picking on someone who can’t fight back. That’s called bullying and cowardice. They got what bullies deserve.

They are beneath contempt and there are many other comments just like it.  There are no words.

We support the troops???

Tea Party Hobbits. What's wrong with that?

So, there has been all this controversy about John McCain (frigging RINO) reading a portion of an editorial referring to Tea Party members as "hobbits' and some conservatives are upset about this.  I say, let's run with it.  So what if they are trying to use the word hobbit as an insult?  .  Why let them create the narrative.  Let's turn it back on them.  True fans of the series know that being a hobbit is a grand thing

Here's why:   Hobbits are generally a simple, peaceful folk, who value family and community.  They are self reliant.   They enjoy the simple, but good things in life.  They would prefer to be left alone to live their lives without interference and don't really want to interfere with others either.   Nothing wrong with that so far.

Who are the ultimate heroes of the Lord of the Rings anyway?  Who goes the final distance into Mordor to dispose of the ring?  Who willingly takes up the cause and goes through the danger to do the right thing,  despite the forces and odds being stacked against them?   Despite being alone and outnumbered?   Who shows more resilience and ability to resist the evil of the ring?   HOBBITS!  Sam and Frodo.   2 of the most unlikely heroes ever written.    Out of all the characters in the books, Tea Party people probably do have more in common with hobbits than anyone else.  Sure, the elves are more glamorous, and the men of Gondor more battle ready,  but the hobbits get the job done and go back to their lives without a fuss.

So I say, let's embrace the whole hobbit thing and let the democrats continue to be the orcs and goblins that they've always been.  We know who wins in the end.  As someone has already posted out there on the web, John McCain makes an excellent Gollum.

John McCain as Gollum

Warning from the UK

Read this commentary.  It is right on target (oops!  Is that "violent rhetoric?").

Best quote:  "Contrary to what the Obama Democrats claimed, the face-off in Congress did not mean that the nation’s politics were “dysfunctional”. The politics of the US were functioning precisely as the Founding Fathers intended: the legislature was acting as a check on the power of the executive."

We need to face the truth.

The elections start tomorrow and it is important to get out and vote Republican if you are in an affected district. If the democrats regain power, the unions will get their way again,  And that means less money in your pocket and no accountability.  Remember, Walker's budget is actually working!

Hollywood to Help Obama Get Re-elected.. In Other News, Water is Wet.

Read this via HotAir...  there will be a movie about the killing of Bin Laden, coincidentally coming out in October 2012..  weeks before the election.  Pathetic and desperate, considering he had completely ruined everything else and has no accomplishments to run on.  The emperor has no clothes!

We can just print more money...

Are you kidding me?  Alan Greenspan former chairman of the Federal Reserve (this name is deceptive, more on that later) says we can "just print more money?"   Be ready to carry wheelbarrows full of money to buy a loaf of bread.  Without true capital behind it, paper money means nothing!  And this man ran the Federal Reserve!  We are in serious trouble, folks, and this is just the beginning.

Rich Man, Poor Man

Bill Whittle takes on a few sacred cows.  This video is amazing.  Really.

Racial Violence in the Midwest

I remember reading about the racially motivated attacks in Peoria in June and being disturbed.  I am absolutely haunted by what happened in Milwaukee this week.  Numerous accounts of black youths attacking whites on their way out of the state fair show some very disturbing scenes, although some of the media is downplaying or completely ignoring the racial component, despite the fact that these types of attacks are becoming increasingly common.  Chicago has had troubles recently as well.

What haunts me are the accounts of a 14-15 year old white boy who was severely beaten and left by the side of the road, while numerous witnesses sat in their cars.  One man, an Iraq veteran, was convinced not to leave the car by his wife.  Another woman raced to help the boy but was convinced to return to the car by her husband.   The boy was eventually thrown into the ditch like trash.   This breaks my heart. I think of my son and my nephews at that age, one who is still only 16.  I think of them being beaten while bystanders do nothing.  The fear and pain and wondering "why me?"  How alone and terrified this boy must have been and wondering if help was going to come.   I think of his mother getting the call from the hospital and it breaks my heart.  What has happened to us?  I understand the fear of being hurt or killed yourself that holds you back from helping and I can't say that I would do any different in that situation.  It's easy to lay blame when you weren't there.  And THAT is what haunts me.  I'd like to think I would be different, but would I?  And how could I ever face myself again, knowing I left that boy alone?

John 15:13

New International Version (NIV)
13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Beautiful  words, but how many of us are really willing to do that, especially for a stranger?   I have seen no updates on the condition of this boy but I hope and pray that he will be ok.    We need to start being honest about racial violence on both ends, not just when a minority is the victim.  In this case, this young boy was the minority,  was he not?     I fear this is only the beginning.

Mobs at the Wisconsin State Fair

Dozens of Black Youths Attack Fair goers
Horror at the Wisconsin State Fair

There were similar incidents the 4th of July and one in May and, as I mentioned, Chicago and Peoria have had many similar attacks.    I don't want a race war.  I don't care what color or race anyone is. I judge on behavior.

I will leave you with 2 words: CONCEALED CARRY.  OK, maybe more than 2.  It has been argued that places like the fair would likely restrict guns, but much of this happened outside and people could have them in their cars.    I am reconsidering a decision for a revolver for a concealed carry gun,  I'm thinking a semi-auto with extra magazines is the way to go........

According to the AP (via the Blaze): A helicopter crash in Afghanistan’s eastern Wardak province killed 31 U.S. special operation troops and seven Afghan soldiers, the country’s president said Saturday. It was the highest number of American casualties recorded in a single incident in the decade-long war.

Once again, stay classy, unions...

I hadn't heard too much about union protests lately, thought they may have calmed down.  Then I saw this video form the McIver Institue....  holy self-absorption, Batman!!!    They interfered with a Special Olympics event earlier this year, now they protest outside a company that is all about hiring the developmentally disabled?   One of their spokespersons said  "it's about us".  Seriously?   They continue to show their true colors and it is ugly.  They cannot regain a foothold!!

This looks powerful..

So, I've been gone for a while, maybe a little burned out on politics and bad news... but am back with some intense stuff.  Here is a movie trailer for something that is causing quite a stir.  Looks very intriguing....  see Big Hollywood for more.

STOP the unions..

Wisconsin gets concealed carry!

Scott Walker signs concealed carry into law

Once again, thank you Wisconsin legislature and Governor Walker!  The lefties are shrieking about gun violence and the wild west.  As usual, they are ignoring the facts, such as, CRIMINALS DO NOT OBEY THE LAW!  THEY ALREADY CARRY CONCEALED WEAPONS!  Up until now, the ones not carrying have been law abiding citizens.  This levels the playing field, so to speak,  and aren't the lefties always whining about making things fair?  Or does that only apply to taking peoples money away and giving it to others?    Washington DC has strict gun control and one of the highest levels of murder and gun crime ion the nation.  48 other states already have these laws and they have not turned into a shootout at the OK corral.   Yes, Wisconsin has open carry, but people freak out and call the police if they see you carrying one, wasting the time and energy of law enforcement and the law abiding person who is carrying.

Concealed weapons save lives.....  I have to go buy one that fits in my purse now....

More guns, less crime

51% pay no income tax...

51% of tax units pay no income tax???

This is unbelievably pathetic.   This is what 40 years of "progressive politics" with a brief period of sanity during the Reagan years has brought us.  Neither President Bush was conservative enough, in my opinion.   "The War on Poverty" is a total loss, because all we've done is made generations of people dependent on government handouts.  This insanity must stop!

Trial by public opinion?

I have avoided the whole Casey Anthony trial and haven't followed it closely but in the aftermath, with all the screaming for new laws and heads on a pike, I've had to take a closer look a this.  We've heard all the comparisons to the OJ trial.  It's "obvious" that he was guilty, and Casey Anthony is most likely guilty as well, but the demands for new laws and changes to the system make me pretty uncomfortable.   Both Casey and OJ will have to face judgement for what they did.   Our system IS imperfect, but that is because WE are imperfect.  There are times when people do "get away with murder" but do we want to throw away all our rights, laws, Constitution because of it?  Not me.   Link below to an opinion in American Thinker.  Sums it up pretty well.

More classless behavior from the left..

Copied  directly from Althouse (since my linkies aren't working)

The newest Wisconsin protest jackassery: a "flotilla" disrupts Tonette Walker's lakeside garden party.

Jessica Opoien reports:
After learning that Wisconsin's first lady Tonette Walker would host a garden party on Saturday, July 2, a group of nearly a dozen people formed a flotilla that set sail to the shore of Lake Mendota off the governor's Maple Bluff executive residence.

... The flotilla consisted of two kayaks, two canoes and a paddleboat.

"Saturday was kind of a test drive," [Arthur] Kohl-Riggs says. He has since created a Facebook event called "A Summer Full of #wiflotilla" to organize future lake shore protests. Flotilla protesters are also organizing with the Twitter hashtag #wiflotilla.

He would like to see a more consistent presence on Lake Mendota and is in the process of trying to schedule a weekly flotilla. He also hopes people will start flotilla protests in their hometowns throughout the state. Social media will play a significant role in organizing and publicizing the events.
Do you think social media might play a significant role in teaching the social graces? Why would you harass a politician's wife in her backyard? And brag about it? And envision a burgeoning movement of like-minded louts... in boats?

You know we're always struggling with runoff into Lake Mendota. Must the politics drain into there too?
"Wisconsin has a lot of waterways," Kohl-Riggs says. "We're trying to let Walker and his administration know that there's an active resistance to him on every waterway in the state."
You know we have a big problem with invasive species in the Wisconsin rivers and lacks. Let's not introduce homo politicus.

IN THE COMMENTS: Robert G. said"
I was at my parents' house in Madison this weekend and got to witness this first hand! In fact, I also used the term "jackasses" in my tweet I posted at the time (http://goo.gl/aNfam). The article doesn't mention the first round when it was just one motorboat and they were using a loudspeaker to chant "recall Walker" and such. That lasted about an hour, then they left and about an hour later this goofy flotilla arrived. At one point one of the Governor's lakeside neighbors got in her canoe and joined the flotilla.

Seriously, people, give it up, have some class, and move on with your life.

Unions lose, children win. Thank you Scott Walker.. oh, and unions? Bite me.

Well, well, well.....  the new budget measure took effect in Wisconsin last week, and the sky hasn't fallen yet.  Schools are actually able to save money by opting out of WEA insurance and can apply more funds to actual educational expenses.   The unions, however, are losing money because employees, such as myself, can opt out of the union now and dues are not automatically taken from our checks.  We get inflammatory, hysterical emails and snail mail from the unions.   They are desperate to hold on to their power.  As for me, I couldn't be happier!

From the Washington Examiner:

Opting out of WEA insurance saves big!

Teachers have to work 8 hours?? Oh, the humanity!

Other states are noticing and hoping to follow suit.

And from a school district in Marshfield:
"Given the cost savings with health insurance and the turnover with staff and new hires, we will be able to preserve our programs and come up with a balanced budget," said Peg Geegan, the district's director of instruction who will assume the superintendent's position Aug. 1. The district will save $850,000 by switching health insurance carriers...

Obama thinks he is above the law... or ethics, at the minimum

According to reports, Obama is still funneling money to Acorn despite the fact that they should not be getting any funding.

Acorn still getting federal money?

And he films fundraising videos in the White House...

And more.....

Unseemly but legal?

This man is a menace.

Here is a post from Powerline about Obama's lawlessness.
