Have I Mentioned That Unions Are Evil???

Check out this report from Labor Union Report.   Indoctrinating young people.  Why is the symbol a fist, by the way?  Don't you think that's pretty darned aggressive??

Lessons in Alinsky

Or this from the Blaze:

It's about money, power, and socialism, not workers.

They are marching along with the college hippie Marxists on Wall Street:

Labor unions join the protests

I could go on and on.  They show their true colors time and time again.  Unions are not about "workers rights"..  They are about money, greed, power, and the overthrow of our our system.  Don't let them fool you.

I'll leave you with this quote from Flyover Country at The Blogmocracy:

"On a Personal note: I was at a conference recently in St. Pete, Fl. There was a Starbucks near the convention and I saw some recruiters for Occupy Tampa. I asked them what are their goals. One of the sociology students was telling me, they wanted free health-care, free education and guaranteed jobs. I retorted that they sounded like the Soviets. After a back and forth, I told him that he’s crazy if he thinks he can overthrow the government. I reminded him, it’s the Rightwing in this country who has most of the guns. I saw this clown go pale and look scared.
Reality hit him."

Heh.

Ugliness from the left..

These people are beyond belief.   So blatant, yet the mainstream media, democrats, Hollywood all seem to condone it.  This is noting new, of course, but so absolutely maddening to those of us with a functioning brain.....  these are just a sample of recent events.

Via Moonbattery:

"Proponents of a more refined First Amendment argue that this freedom should be treated not as a right but as a privilege — a special entitlement granted by the state on a conditional basis that can be revoked if it is ever abused or maltreated."
This from a report from 4 democratic senators.....

"Behead the bankers"
Talk about beheading people???

Unions involved in Wall Street class warfare
Economic Terrorism

This is just a tiny sample of what is going on.   Wake up and smell the Constitution burning!!  These people are getting more and more bold every day.  They have their Manchurian candidate in the White House.  We need to stand up for our country and our rights.  Economic and religious freedom and property rights are they keys to a successful and prosperous nation.  These people are attempting to subvert and overthrow the system that has made this country so great.

Letter to the Wall Street Protesters

This says it all.  Go home, you smelly, commie, hippies!!

Letter to the protesters.

Ace of Spades has a great post on this as well.  From what I can see, there are a lot of whiny people with student loan debt that think somehow someone else should pay....  Look. I'm sorry some of you have had some bad luck.  Many of you made bad choices, such as getting an absolutely worthless degree and ended up working at Starbucks.  Certainly there is a lot of greed on Wall Street but pushing your agenda will impoverish us all. Socialism/communism does NOT work!

A Small Victory for the Unborn

Court upholds Arizona's Law.. and Planned Parenthood stops abortions at 7 clinics

Interesting that a 2, full disclosure on all options and risks, a 24 hour waiting period, parental notification and a requirement that actual doctors perform the abortions would cause PP to stop performing them.  Nothing unreasonable here but it seems they can't work under these conditions.  Ghouls.

This is what entitlements get us....

Unions Resorting to Attempting Murder?

Via Big Government, a story about a non-union business owner who had been harassed and vandalized by unions for years.  Now he's been shot and the word "SCAB" was painted on his car.  Gee, who uses that kind of language?  Who has been getting increasingly violent in their rhetoric and actions?  Could it be.... unions?

Today's Union Ugliness

Today it is not all from Wisconsin. Unions continue to show the ugliness that they are full of.  Threats of violence, harassment, vandalism.. all part of the tricks of the trade for them.   These people will stop at nothing to gain and retain power.

Union Tactics Against Verizon

And in New Jersey....

They need to be told not to throw poop... really.

Why do these people (and I use that term loosely at this point) need to be told by a judge not to throw feces?  This is discourse?    Also included in the injunction...  nails, glass, spikes....  this is not how we are supposed to operate.   At this point, its not just public sector unions that are the problem.  This is ugly.  They want a class war.  I have noted on this blog before that labor unions and communists are extremely closely connected.    Unions must be stopped!

Great commentary here.
Time to end collective bargaining.

We need more people like this.  We know what happens when children are abducted by strangers.  He saved her and her family untold amounts of pain and suffering, and most likely her life.  What a brave man.  We should all be so willing to step up and do the right thing.  God bless you!

Really, Mental Health Profession, Really?

Can't say I'm surprised by this, with the way the world is going, but I am disturbed, disgusted, and frightened for the future of our children.     It was only a matter of time before it came to this.  The DSM (diagnostic manual for mental health disorders) is being revised and there is a group of mental health professionals and pedophile sympathizers that want pedophilia removed as a disorder.  Really?  There is nothing wrong with raping and terrorizing children?  As someone who has worked in the mental health field for years, I can testify to the damage these animals do; lasting damage.  I will never accept pedophilia as some normal sexual lifestyle.  It is evil and those that are behind this are evil.

Abortionists and Unions-Hellish Union

A Planned Parenthood in Oregon has voted to unionize through the SEIU.  Are you kidding me?  Murderers and thugs joining forces.... greedy ghouls, all of them.  A worker states she loves providing care to women and families.  The cognitive dissonance is maddening.   Abortion is not "women's health care".

10 Things I hate about....

These last few days have put me in the mood for a good rant..... so here goes.  10 things that drive me crazy....................

1. Snotty college liberal pinheads who know nothing about anything except what their professors tell them pretending they are smarter than everyone else.
2. Union-bots who can't think for themselves and just repeat talking points and call names instead of discussing or debating an issue.
3. The fact that most liberals are the MOST intolerant people on the planet...  they are all about superficial tolerance, like skin color, but get out of their political worldview lockstep and see how tolerant they are.
4. The fact that these "tolerant" and "inclusive" liberals are the first people to throw out racial, ethnic, and gay slurs when someone of a "minority" group steps off the liberal plantation.  I rarely hear that sort of thing from my conservative friends or even on conservative the blogs for that matter.  If any trolls start making slurs or threats, they are generally dealt with harshly.  Go look on Daily Kos or Huffington Post and see if the left does the same....
5. Girls who dress and act slutty, give it away to anyone,,, and then complain they can't find a good man to settle down.  Young girls don't realize they have much more power if they don't put out but they all have to be on the same page.... nice girls have an awfully rough time in this society.
6. Militant atheists.  Ok, if you don't want to believe in God, fine... but why do you have to be so obnoxious about it?  They complain about prostelytizing, but are among the worst offenders.
7. That Ghandi quote about liking Christ but not liking Christians.  Ghandi was not such a great guy if you look past the media portrayal.  His non-violence went so far as to simply submit to evil.  He encouraged the Brits and the Jews to willingly submit to the Nazis... yeah, he's a peach.  His extreme form of nonviolence would have allowed Hitler to take over the world.  I'm all for solving things peacefully but sometimes you just have to kill the bad guys.
8. People who like to generalize about Christians and constantly wait for a Christian to stumble or fail in some way, so they can go "see, those Christians are hypocrites" while ignoring the daily murder and mayhem perpetrated by muslims.
9. People who refuse to take a moral stand on anything and those who never call out the liberals and atheists out on their crap, leaving some of us to be the jerks who actually confront them.  The evil of this world is made possible by the sanction good men give it.   Not that we should go around fighting and arguing all the time, but seriously, sometimes someone just needs to say, "you know, that's not quite right".  Sometimes if feels like that person is always me.
10.  The entitlement mentality.  It is why the unions and other goons here in the Badger State won't just shut up and go away.  They keep trying to enforce their will on the rest of the population because they think they are entitled to something.  Same with the rioters in London... they think they are entitled to take what they want and do what they want, regardless of who they hurt.  Same with the punks in Milwaukee.... the list goes on and on.  The entitlement mentality is what is bringing this country to its knees.

Sooo.... yeah.  That's what is on my mind today.  Maybe I'll feel better in the morning.

The London Riots-Before and After

I've never been to England, although I've always wanted to go.  A friend of mine returned from a trip to the UK just a few days before this madness started.  These photos made me incredibly sad... ..sad for the loss of life,  sad for the losses to the home and business owners, sad for the loss of history in some of those buildings, but mostly sad for the loss of our souls, because that is what led to this destruction.  The loss of our souls that comes from relying on the government to give us things that they forcibly take from others.  The moochers vs. the producers.

Here is a link the before and after photos of some areas of London... very, very sad.

Liberal/socialist policies led to this.  Remember that,

For the record, I believe Islam is not a true religion, it is a tyrannical, oppressive political ideology disguised as a religion.  Do the research for yourself.  It is an ugly, satanic religion founded by a pedophile who married a 6 year old and consummated that marriage when she turned 9.  Disgusting.  Islam allows lying, cheating, murdering, and oppressing women in the name of allah.   There is no freedom in Islam, the penalty for leaving the faith is death.  True freedom lies in Christianity, where there is no compulsion.  God gives us a choice.  We do not save ourselves by blind obedience but we are saved through faith and the love of God.  Christians who do harmful or hateful things are shunned by the rest, whereas in Islam, terrorists and murderers are celebrated and held up as martyrs.  They are not condemned by mainstream muslims, for the most part.

Think about how often Christians and our God are made fun of, ridiculed, criticized, and mocked in popular culture and entertainment.  People do that freely because they do not fear being murdered over it.  Contrast that to islam....  think about Comedy Central not showing the depiction of muhammed on South Parkout of fear,  ask Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Geert Wilder, Theo Van Gogh (oops, you can't, they killed him), or the cartoonists in Denmark (these are just a few examples)  about the repercussions of criticizing islam.  There is no comparison between  Christianity and islam and anyone who tries is intellectually dishonest, lying,  uninformed, or any combination of those.

Individual Mandate Unconstitutional...

Gee, ya think???  I can't believe the court was actually divided on this.  Of course, I can't believe that this monstrosity passed in the first place or that they are only striking down the individual mandate, not the whole darn thing.  Sigh.......  The democrats and RINOs have been wiping their behinds with the Constitution for years now.   I see no sign of it stopping.    We are headed the way of Greece and Spain and the UK.  We are witnessing what appears to be the fall of the entire western civilization and they are giving bread and circuses.. or maybe government cheese and sex scandals, food stamps and Hollywood??

It's even more maddening how many people don't see it, can't understand that this current system of spending and handouts is not "sustainable" (to use one of their favorite words) and counterproductive.  We've produced generations of people who've never worked an honest day's work but are ungrateful for the freebies that they get and demand ever more from "the rich" who keep the economy moving.

The London Riots-The end result of liberalism.

Lots of people have written about this the last 4 days.  This is one of the best ones I've seen; brutal in its honesty.  Why can't some people understand that they are the cause of this problem, and many others.  Eliminating things like civic pride, personal responsibility, respect for others, and most importantly, faith, will always lead to chaos and destruction.   These kids are not lacking "self esteem", they are lacking esteem for other people and their country.

Wisconsin Has Spoken

Great commentary written by Chris from Racine.  Couldn't have said it better myself.  Go read it for yourself.  As for me, I'll just say.. "Unions, democrats, and leftist special interests, just GO AWAY!"

Wisconsin Has Spoken

I can see 2012 from my house!

From HotAir:

Unions go 0 for 2 in Wisconsin
No, I’m not talking about last night’s tally of recall districts, which went Republican 4-2. That narrowly denied unions in Wisconsin (and let’s not kid ourselves, nationwide) the ultimate victory they needed — a change in control of the state Senate that would have produced gridlock for at least the next several months. In the end, they could only capture the Senate seat from a strong Democratic district and another from a scandal-plagued Republican, and neither one of those impressively.

And from Ann Althouse:

If the Democrats had won 1 more seat in yesterday's recalls, what expansive assertions would we be hearing today?

Imagine if they'd gotten their majority. What gloating and grandiose claims would gush forth? They'd be merciless. The recall elections were a referendum on Walker! A referendum on the Tea Party! A victory for Obama and for taxing the pants off the rich! Especially the Koch Brothers!

It was just one state senate seat that made the difference. The Republicans got it. Should they exult and make their version of the extreme statements the Democrats would be making right now if Fred Clark had managed to scramble over the top in District 14? (If only he hadn't quipped that he'd like to smack that lady around, or if her answering machine hadn't caught it, this country would be a completely different place today, now, wouldn't it?)

But the Republicans will probably go with graciousness, won't they? Why do they do that? Some attitude of restraint inherent in conservatism? Fear of Democrats chiding them about civility, coming together, and compromise? It's good not to gloat, but I just want to point out: The Democrats would have gloated. Am I wrong?

LOVE this column!  One of the best things I've read this week.  READ IT!!!

Riots in Britain

Here are a few must-reads about the riots in London.  RIOTS, not protests.  These people are destroying their neighborhoods, their city, their country.  How sad.  This is the end result of years of socialist/progressive government.  It never ends well.  We could be facing the same thing here soon.  The difference here will be 2 things:  the Second Amendment and the independent American spirit.  We still have some of that.  Years of handouts and mollycoddling in Britain have ruined them.  We are not quite as far down that path but it is where we are headed if things don't change.

As I said, MUST READS:

What the Left Wing Really Thinks of our Troops

Here is a link to Right Wings News who has a story about comments on the blog Huffington Post.  Comments regarding our military.  These people are truly despicable.

Here's an example:

marathon43
They got exactly what they deserved. They voluntarily traveled half-way around the world to kill people who had never done them any harm. They people they were trying to kill killed them first. That’s exactly how things should be. Let’s also remember that our troops have weapons far superior to anything possessed by the people they are trying to kill. Our troops are picking on someone who can’t fight back. That’s called bullying and cowardice. They got what bullies deserve.

They are beneath contempt and there are many other comments just like it.  There are no words.

We support the troops???

Tea Party Hobbits. What's wrong with that?

So, there has been all this controversy about John McCain (frigging RINO) reading a portion of an editorial referring to Tea Party members as "hobbits' and some conservatives are upset about this.  I say, let's run with it.  So what if they are trying to use the word hobbit as an insult?  .  Why let them create the narrative.  Let's turn it back on them.  True fans of the series know that being a hobbit is a grand thing

Here's why:   Hobbits are generally a simple, peaceful folk, who value family and community.  They are self reliant.   They enjoy the simple, but good things in life.  They would prefer to be left alone to live their lives without interference and don't really want to interfere with others either.   Nothing wrong with that so far.

Who are the ultimate heroes of the Lord of the Rings anyway?  Who goes the final distance into Mordor to dispose of the ring?  Who willingly takes up the cause and goes through the danger to do the right thing,  despite the forces and odds being stacked against them?   Despite being alone and outnumbered?   Who shows more resilience and ability to resist the evil of the ring?   HOBBITS!  Sam and Frodo.   2 of the most unlikely heroes ever written.    Out of all the characters in the books, Tea Party people probably do have more in common with hobbits than anyone else.  Sure, the elves are more glamorous, and the men of Gondor more battle ready,  but the hobbits get the job done and go back to their lives without a fuss.

So I say, let's embrace the whole hobbit thing and let the democrats continue to be the orcs and goblins that they've always been.  We know who wins in the end.  As someone has already posted out there on the web, John McCain makes an excellent Gollum.

John McCain as Gollum

Warning from the UK

Read this commentary.  It is right on target (oops!  Is that "violent rhetoric?").

Best quote:  "Contrary to what the Obama Democrats claimed, the face-off in Congress did not mean that the nation’s politics were “dysfunctional”. The politics of the US were functioning precisely as the Founding Fathers intended: the legislature was acting as a check on the power of the executive."

We need to face the truth.

Wisconsin Recall Elections

The elections start tomorrow and it is important to get out and vote Republican if you are in an affected district. If the democrats regain power, the unions will get their way again,  And that means less money in your pocket and no accountability.  Remember, Walker's budget is actually working!

Hollywood to Help Obama Get Re-elected.. In Other News, Water is Wet.

Read this via HotAir...  there will be a movie about the killing of Bin Laden, coincidentally coming out in October 2012..  weeks before the election.  Pathetic and desperate, considering he had completely ruined everything else and has no accomplishments to run on.  The emperor has no clothes!

We can just print more money...

Are you kidding me?  Alan Greenspan former chairman of the Federal Reserve (this name is deceptive, more on that later) says we can "just print more money?"   Be ready to carry wheelbarrows full of money to buy a loaf of bread.  Without true capital behind it, paper money means nothing!  And this man ran the Federal Reserve!  We are in serious trouble, folks, and this is just the beginning.

Rich Man, Poor Man

Bill Whittle takes on a few sacred cows.  This video is amazing.  Really.

Racial Violence in the Midwest

I remember reading about the racially motivated attacks in Peoria in June and being disturbed.  I am absolutely haunted by what happened in Milwaukee this week.  Numerous accounts of black youths attacking whites on their way out of the state fair show some very disturbing scenes, although some of the media is downplaying or completely ignoring the racial component, despite the fact that these types of attacks are becoming increasingly common.  Chicago has had troubles recently as well.

What haunts me are the accounts of a 14-15 year old white boy who was severely beaten and left by the side of the road, while numerous witnesses sat in their cars.  One man, an Iraq veteran, was convinced not to leave the car by his wife.  Another woman raced to help the boy but was convinced to return to the car by her husband.   The boy was eventually thrown into the ditch like trash.   This breaks my heart. I think of my son and my nephews at that age, one who is still only 16.  I think of them being beaten while bystanders do nothing.  The fear and pain and wondering "why me?"  How alone and terrified this boy must have been and wondering if help was going to come.   I think of his mother getting the call from the hospital and it breaks my heart.  What has happened to us?  I understand the fear of being hurt or killed yourself that holds you back from helping and I can't say that I would do any different in that situation.  It's easy to lay blame when you weren't there.  And THAT is what haunts me.  I'd like to think I would be different, but would I?  And how could I ever face myself again, knowing I left that boy alone?

John 15:13

New International Version (NIV)
13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Beautiful  words, but how many of us are really willing to do that, especially for a stranger?   I have seen no updates on the condition of this boy but I hope and pray that he will be ok.    We need to start being honest about racial violence on both ends, not just when a minority is the victim.  In this case, this young boy was the minority,  was he not?     I fear this is only the beginning.

Mobs at the Wisconsin State Fair

Dozens of Black Youths Attack Fair goers
Horror at the Wisconsin State Fair

There were similar incidents the 4th of July and one in May and, as I mentioned, Chicago and Peoria have had many similar attacks.    I don't want a race war.  I don't care what color or race anyone is. I judge on behavior.

I will leave you with 2 words: CONCEALED CARRY.  OK, maybe more than 2.  It has been argued that places like the fair would likely restrict guns, but much of this happened outside and people could have them in their cars.    I am reconsidering a decision for a revolver for a concealed carry gun,  I'm thinking a semi-auto with extra magazines is the way to go........

31 American Troops Killed in Action

According to the AP (via the Blaze): A helicopter crash in Afghanistan’s eastern Wardak province killed 31 U.S. special operation troops and seven Afghan soldiers, the country’s president said Saturday. It was the highest number of American casualties recorded in a single incident in the decade-long war.

Once again, stay classy, unions...

I hadn't heard too much about union protests lately, thought they may have calmed down.  Then I saw this video form the McIver Institue....  holy self-absorption, Batman!!!    They interfered with a Special Olympics event earlier this year, now they protest outside a company that is all about hiring the developmentally disabled?   One of their spokespersons said  "it's about us".  Seriously?   They continue to show their true colors and it is ugly.  They cannot regain a foothold!!

This looks powerful..

So, I've been gone for a while, maybe a little burned out on politics and bad news... but am back with some intense stuff.  Here is a movie trailer for something that is causing quite a stir.  Looks very intriguing....  see Big Hollywood for more.

STOP the unions..

It's not just public employee unions that are a menace, private industry unions are full of corruption, greed, and dirty tactics.   Rules under consideration by the NRLB (which shouldn't even exist) would make it easier for union thugs to organize.  It must stop!

Wisconsin gets concealed carry!

Scott Walker signs concealed carry into law

Once again, thank you Wisconsin legislature and Governor Walker!  The lefties are shrieking about gun violence and the wild west.  As usual, they are ignoring the facts, such as, CRIMINALS DO NOT OBEY THE LAW!  THEY ALREADY CARRY CONCEALED WEAPONS!  Up until now, the ones not carrying have been law abiding citizens.  This levels the playing field, so to speak,  and aren't the lefties always whining about making things fair?  Or does that only apply to taking peoples money away and giving it to others?    Washington DC has strict gun control and one of the highest levels of murder and gun crime ion the nation.  48 other states already have these laws and they have not turned into a shootout at the OK corral.   Yes, Wisconsin has open carry, but people freak out and call the police if they see you carrying one, wasting the time and energy of law enforcement and the law abiding person who is carrying.

Concealed weapons save lives.....  I have to go buy one that fits in my purse now....

More guns, less crime

51% pay no income tax...

51% of tax units pay no income tax???

This is unbelievably pathetic.   This is what 40 years of "progressive politics" with a brief period of sanity during the Reagan years has brought us.  Neither President Bush was conservative enough, in my opinion.   "The War on Poverty" is a total loss, because all we've done is made generations of people dependent on government handouts.  This insanity must stop!

Trial by public opinion?

I have avoided the whole Casey Anthony trial and haven't followed it closely but in the aftermath, with all the screaming for new laws and heads on a pike, I've had to take a closer look a this.  We've heard all the comparisons to the OJ trial.  It's "obvious" that he was guilty, and Casey Anthony is most likely guilty as well, but the demands for new laws and changes to the system make me pretty uncomfortable.   Both Casey and OJ will have to face judgement for what they did.   Our system IS imperfect, but that is because WE are imperfect.  There are times when people do "get away with murder" but do we want to throw away all our rights, laws, Constitution because of it?  Not me.   Link below to an opinion in American Thinker.  Sums it up pretty well.

More classless behavior from the left..

Copied  directly from Althouse (since my linkies aren't working)

The newest Wisconsin protest jackassery: a "flotilla" disrupts Tonette Walker's lakeside garden party.

Jessica Opoien reports:
After learning that Wisconsin's first lady Tonette Walker would host a garden party on Saturday, July 2, a group of nearly a dozen people formed a flotilla that set sail to the shore of Lake Mendota off the governor's Maple Bluff executive residence.

... The flotilla consisted of two kayaks, two canoes and a paddleboat.

"Saturday was kind of a test drive," [Arthur] Kohl-Riggs says. He has since created a Facebook event called "A Summer Full of #wiflotilla" to organize future lake shore protests. Flotilla protesters are also organizing with the Twitter hashtag #wiflotilla.

He would like to see a more consistent presence on Lake Mendota and is in the process of trying to schedule a weekly flotilla. He also hopes people will start flotilla protests in their hometowns throughout the state. Social media will play a significant role in organizing and publicizing the events.
Do you think social media might play a significant role in teaching the social graces? Why would you harass a politician's wife in her backyard? And brag about it? And envision a burgeoning movement of like-minded louts... in boats?

You know we're always struggling with runoff into Lake Mendota. Must the politics drain into there too?
"Wisconsin has a lot of waterways," Kohl-Riggs says. "We're trying to let Walker and his administration know that there's an active resistance to him on every waterway in the state."
You know we have a big problem with invasive species in the Wisconsin rivers and lacks. Let's not introduce homo politicus.

IN THE COMMENTS: Robert G. said"
I was at my parents' house in Madison this weekend and got to witness this first hand! In fact, I also used the term "jackasses" in my tweet I posted at the time (http://goo.gl/aNfam). The article doesn't mention the first round when it was just one motorboat and they were using a loudspeaker to chant "recall Walker" and such. That lasted about an hour, then they left and about an hour later this goofy flotilla arrived. At one point one of the Governor's lakeside neighbors got in her canoe and joined the flotilla.

Seriously, people, give it up, have some class, and move on with your life.

Unions lose, children win. Thank you Scott Walker.. oh, and unions? Bite me.

Well, well, well.....  the new budget measure took effect in Wisconsin last week, and the sky hasn't fallen yet.  Schools are actually able to save money by opting out of WEA insurance and can apply more funds to actual educational expenses.   The unions, however, are losing money because employees, such as myself, can opt out of the union now and dues are not automatically taken from our checks.  We get inflammatory, hysterical emails and snail mail from the unions.   They are desperate to hold on to their power.  As for me, I couldn't be happier!

From the Washington Examiner:

Opting out of WEA insurance saves big!

Teachers have to work 8 hours?? Oh, the humanity!

Other states are noticing and hoping to follow suit.

And from a school district in Marshfield:
"Given the cost savings with health insurance and the turnover with staff and new hires, we will be able to preserve our programs and come up with a balanced budget," said Peg Geegan, the district's director of instruction who will assume the superintendent's position Aug. 1. The district will save $850,000 by switching health insurance carriers...

Obama thinks he is above the law... or ethics, at the minimum

According to reports, Obama is still funneling money to Acorn despite the fact that they should not be getting any funding.

Acorn still getting federal money?

And he films fundraising videos in the White House...

White House fundraisers

And more.....

Unseemly but legal?

This man is a menace.

Here is a post from Powerline about Obama's lawlessness.

Lawless Obama

And these people probably vote...

......most likely for Democrats.  This is what the teacher's unions, federal government interference, and a preoccupation with social engineering  have done to our education system.

Very powerful stuff from Bill Whittle on the culture. It's worth the time to watch.

I can hear the sound of hippy heads exploding!

This makes me happy.. even if its not true, just throwing it out there is total awesomeness.  Hey, old hippies, the 60's are over and your hero deserted you before he died!    Maybe you should grow up and get a clue like he did!

John Lennon a Republican?

And of course, Iowahawk offers his take on the matter. Read it, it's hilarious!

Lennon songs with Republican lyrics!

Really, firefighters union, really?

These people show their true colors over and over again.... the unions are about themselves and their own power and damnation to those who disagree.

Firefighters Union refuses 9-11 float over union issue

Stop the unions!

Unions and Communists. One and the same,

Here are just a few examples of articles on the People's World website.

IKEA stacks deck against union backers
The "right" not to join a union

Labor board rules would make it easier to unionize

It's union time at America's airports!

5,000 join union-led march against corporate greed
Union power: LA grocery workers march

Why would the communist party have such an interest in unions?

Commies endorse Democrats for 2012... whoda thunk it?

From the People's World article "5 Steps to Get Ready for 2012"

"When the broader movement takes part in the battle of ideas, people respond positively. Some of the ideas that already resonate with millions include: tax the rich, racism chains working people of all colors, economic crises hit racially and nationally oppressed people harder, wealth comes from labor and nature, working people have no stake in wars of occupation, and the country is not broke.
The image of socialism as economically just, ecologically sustainable, democratic, peaceful, and part of the American experience can and does resonate as well.
* Finally, a bigger left and Communist Party is necessary for any sustained and far-reaching political advances. It is a fact that progressive and democratic breakthroughs in our nation's history have been bound up with popular uprisings in which a growing left played a critical role. There is no reason to think it will be any different going forward."

Here is a link to another article that discusses why its important for the communists to vote for/work with democrats in achieving their goals.  Scary stuff....

H/T: Weasel Zippers

The Arrogance of Obama knows no bounds....

He spews this crap daily.  Blatant lies, misrepresentations, and delusions about his own greatness.  This man is not stupid, he is evil.  He is not merely inept, he is on a mission to destroy our country and he doesn't even bother to pretend anymore, other than to lie, because the media continues to cover for him.    He is a malignant narcissist, the most arrogant personality type of all.  He talks down to people.  He holds his chin in the air when he speaks.  His tone and body posture reek of self-importance and an air of superiority. I don't understand how people cannot see through this evil man who is a cancer upon our country.  Wake up, people!

I know everyone is tired of the drama, but we need to stay involved so that the recall efforts fail or we will be right back where we started!

More union ugliness....

Problems have been brewing in South Carolina where the NLRB has interfered with Boeing relocating a plant because it would be unfair to unions.  How the heck can any agency tell a business where they can operate?  Big government combined with big unions are  a match made in hell and they don't care who they hurt.  From  "The State":

CHARLESTON The owner of a Charleston staffing company says in a video released by a congressional committee that a national labor lawsuit over a South Carolina Boeing plant could force his business to close. Dunhill Staffing president Neil Whitman says in the video released Tuesday by the U.S. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee that the National Labor Relations Board’s lawsuit is “an assault” on the way business is done in America. The board sued Boeing in April, saying the aircraft manufacturer illegally chose to build an assembly plant in South Carolina to retaliate against unionized Washington state workers. Whitman testified earlier this month before the committee during a field hearing in North Charleston. Whitman says he doubts his business would survive if Boeing shut down its Charleston operations.

We need more guys like Ron Johnson!

Check this out:  worth the watch.

Wisconsin has been turning out some great conservative politicians lately; Scott Walker, Paul Ryan, Ron Johnson!  We need more guys like these!  Sean Duffy, however, has been a disappointment....

Unions need to be stopped!

I am located in Wisconsin and we've had plenty of unrest over the last few months due to union antics and desperation over loss of political power and money.  They get more and more ugly every day. There are problems all over, not just in Wisconsin.    Bloomberg reports about attempts to unionize workers at a Hyundai plant, only thing is... the workers don't want a union!  Of course, that doesn't stop these people.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-06-22/hyundai-teaches-uaw-best-factory-job-doesn-t-need-a-union-cars.htm

Michelle Malkin has a report about public unions ready to strike in the UK.

http://michellemalkin.com/2011/06/28/greetings-from-london-a-taste-of-wisconsin-as-public-unions-prepare-to-strike/

New Jersey and other states have been battling public sector unions as well. The unions in Wisconsin are not giving up yet either.  They continue to try to agitate workers and recall elected officials.

And then there's Greece...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2008905/Greece-strikes-June-2011-Thousands-protesters-fresh-anti-cuts-riots.html

Ellen White, one of the founders of the Seventh Day Adventist church, warned against unions over 100 years ago.  Here is some of what she said:

The trade unions will be the cause of the most terrible violence that has ever been seen among human beings.--Letter 99, 1904, p. 3. (To J. E. White and wife, February 23, 1904.)

The trades unions and confederacies of the world are a snare. Keep out of them, and away from them, brethren. Have nothing to do with them. Because of these unions and confederacies, it will soon be very difficult for our institutions to carry on their work in the cities -- General Conference Bulletin, April 6, 1903.

The time is fast coming when the controlling power of the labor unions will be very oppressive.  .--Letter 5, 1904.

Satan will do that which will close the Southern field against the truth, if the Lord does not interpose. And the trade unions will be one of the agencies that will bring upon this earth a time of trouble such as has not been since the world began.--Letter 200, 1903, p. 3.

"Unionism has revealed what it is by the spirit that it has manifested. It is controlled by the cruel power of Satan. Those who refuse to join the unions formed are made to feel this power. The principles governing the forming of these unions seem innocent, but men have to pledge themselves to serve the interests of these unions, or else they may have to pay the penalty of refusal with their lives."5   White, Manuscript Releases (Washington, D.C.: Review and Herald Pub. Assn., 1990), vol. 4, p. 75.

Say what you will about her, she saw what she saw.   As someone who had been made to join a union as a condition of employment, she is right.  I am privy to the emails and letters they send, to the nasty, envious, class warfare THEY are pushing.  Unions are evil.  Thank you Scott Walker!!!

Unions, Judicial Activists and Democrats Lose Big in the Badger State

Darwin Award Candidate

What kind of person keeps a 5 foot Black Mamba as a PET??  One of the deadliest snakes in the world and someone thinks its a good idea to keep one in the house.    According to Fox News:

A black mamba, widely considered the world's most poisonous snake, was suspected in the death of a woman who kept 75 snakes as pets at her suburban New York home, authorities said on Thursday.

Another AWESOME commentary by Andrew Klavan.  Nothing I can add to this.  Love his style.

More Wisconsin shenanigans

So, today in Wisconsin, 2 protesters decided to attach themselves to posts during the Senate budget debate.  When do these people realize that this is not, in fact, what democracy looks like.  It is what immature, selfish, attention seeking doughheads look like.    It's time to stop the tantrum and let our legislators get on with their business and the rest of the state just move on.

Get a life, people!!!

So the unions have decided to file a lawsuit in federal court, saying the collective bargaining changes are unconstitutional....  seriously, show where in the Constitution it says there is a right to any of this crap....  ugh.  Waste more time and more taxpayer money to hold on to your power.  Go away, already! Your time is up.  Get a real job, get a life, move on!!

Stay classy, lefties...

What can I say?  These crazies and semi-violent people are in abundance wherever lefties gather, but the media presents the Tea Party as violent....

Heh...

From Hot Air:

http://hotair.com/archives/2011/06/14/obama-plays-to-half-empty-house-for-grassroots-fundraiser/

What is happening to the Obama fan club?

Today's Supreme Court decision has restored my hope in the process (for now)

Sooo happy today that the Wisconsin Supreme Court overturned a leftist judge's decision to stall the budget bill!  The court rightly discerned that they are not there to interfere with the legislative process.  According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: " In its decision, the state's high court concluded that "choices about what laws represent wise public policy for the state of Wisconsin are not within the constitutional purview of the courts."The court concluded that Sumi exceeded her jurisdiction, "invaded" the Legislature's constitutional powers and erred in halting the publication and implementation of the collective bargaining law."

So we'll have some more of the leftie/union temper tantrum circus going on, but I do believe people are tired of the whining.   Look for some really ugliness in the recall elections and more push to recall Walker.  These people are shameless.

Full decision here and good coverage at Ace of Spades.

John Stossel Looks Inside Wisconsin's Budget Debate

Obama jokes about the economy

Really?  Is this funny?  You eff up the economy near to the point of no return, then laugh about it?  This is not amateur hour, oh wait, I guess it is.  I cannot believe this country elected this inept, corrupt, power-hungry buffoon.    No class.

And then there's this:  we are in worse shape than Greece.  If you've been paying attention, Greece is basically belly-up and in chaos.

http://www.cnbc.com/id/43378973

Yuck it up, Obama.

Wisconsin Update

This whole budget deal should have been done months ago, but the unions, the lefties, and their political and judicial stooges have been having one giant hissy fit.  Seriously, people, grow up and move on.  "Elections have consequences", remember?    The legislature may have to pass the collective bargaining bill again if the court doesn't rule on it.  All this ridiculous nonsense. The left absolutely does not care about anything but power and getting their own way.  They don't care what it costs the taxpayers, or if it costs jobs, or hurts the economy, they don't care!  They want what they want.

http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/123758594.html

I hope the GOP can stay strong and survive any recall efforts.  I think the general public has had an eye-opening experience with the unions.    According to Forbes, "Debate over Wisconsin's next budget was scheduled to begin Tuesday under heightened security in the state Capitol, with the likelihood that lawmakers will once again vote on taking away collective bargaining rights for public workers".    Why would they need so much security if these people were simply peaceful protesters.  Hopefully the democrats don't run away again.

More economy killing regulations from the Obama administration....

The EPA must be stopped.  These unelected bureaucrats have entirely too much regulatory power and continually force regulations that have minimal benefits and absolutely kill jobs and weaken the economy.  Is this deliberate?  I think so.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-biz-0612-rates-20110611,0,7432941.story

Everyone should be outraged at this, but not surprised.  Obama said as much during his campaign but the sheeple elected him anyway.  God help us all.

Palin, Paul Revere, and Republicanism

"The tri-part reaction to Palin’s remark — (1) she’s stupid; (2) she was only unknowingly right; (3) she was right, but she can’t speak good English — was an elite response. It was the reaction of a class that prizes, above all else, educational credentials and the ability to speak well.
Ironically, that is part of our current predicament. The sitting president is someone elected without experience or accomplishments, largely because he was well-educated, spoke well, and wrote a book. Some Republicans and conservatives thought Obama was potentially a great president while lacking even the qualifications of the vice-presidential candidate on the opposing ticket — a sitting governor with an impressive record of achievement."

If the above quote intrigues you, go read the whole thing at Pajamas Media.

http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/palin-paul-revere-and-republicanism/

I still find the loathing of this woman to be fascinating.  Even some of my conservative friends are wary of her, so I guess the media has done its job in trashing her.     I would vote for her if she ran, but I am concerned that she would not win.    She is good at what she does, and it has been pointed out many times that she is a master at playing the media and driving the conversation through her use of social media.   Whatever happens, I do admire her courage, her values, her ability to drive RINOs and the left absolutely crazy, and her independent spirit.

Infantilizing the Culture

This is a GREAT article about the lack of proper language and speaking skills seen in our young people and some adults.    Some of my pet peeves are covered, such "And I was like, and then he was like" and ending sentences with an inflection on the end, as if they were asking a question.  These things drive me nuts.   I work with several young people and one in particular uses all of these annoying habits and she sounds like a moron, despite the fact that she has a college degree.  Interestingly enough, her mother is a public school teacher.  Hmmmmm...........   I am happy to say that my one offspring speaks intelligently, properly, with little to no use of slang.   I should have been an English teacher.

Religious post of the day...

Well, color me surprised.  One of the very few religious figures the left can stand admits he is a Marxist!   He does clarify that he's not a "Leninist".  Whew... I feel so much better now.  Are you kidding me????   The Dalai Lama, the man of peace..... is a Marxist.

Wisconsin today...

From Charlie Sykes, the story of teachers turning on an old friend because he supported Walker...  the good news is, they didn't check into the new business they chose to visit.  Turns out, the other business owner was a Walker supporter too!  Jokes on you I guess.

http://www.620wtmj.com/blogs/charliesykes/123610099.html

Personally overheard state employees complain because they were no longer going to be able to work overtime during the same week they use vacation time.  Oh, the horror!!  You mean it's not ok to use 40 hours of vacation time, then go in for a weekend shift and get overtime pay??   Seriously....  how did this even happen in the first place?  Oh, yeah, abuse of the system brought to you by the unions.  Thanks guys.

Speaking of unions, WEAC says they are not planning any protests next week while the budget bill is on the table.  Somehow, I don't trust them but I guess time will tell.  Maybe they are realizing that people most likely won't take too kindly to more of this nonsense.  I think also that the Special Olympics thing didn't play well for them so they want to take a low profile.

Today's dose of media bias

First off, pardon my french, but Piers Morgan is a total asshat.... watch this clip of him interviewing Ann Coulter.  I suppose I could cut him some slack because it is not a "hard news" show..  but, nope.  Still an asshat.

Chris Matthews is always good for a laugh.  This dude is seriously unhinged and yet he is treated like a serious journalist.   How can anyone take him even remotely serious?    Here's a link to Newsbusters story..  where he calls Christians "culturally backwards"

Concealed carry is coming... but I disagree with allowing them in bars.   It's about time, though.

Look for the idiot protests to be in full swing again next week.  Don't these people have jobs like the rest of us?   Oh yeah..... teachers get the summer off (nice work if you can get it) and many others are hired thugs.  I would bet my life if you could trace the non-union money involved in this, it would lead to George Soros. Another huge waste of taxpayer money for security and clean up.  I think people are getting tired of these shenanigans.  Really, while the rest of us are working, they are down there demanding more taxpayer money?  Pretty damn ballsy.   More rope.....

Same old, same old.... media bias

What is with the Sarah Palin hatred?  I just don't get it.....   I mean, disagree with her, don't like her politics, fine.  But what's with the absolutely toxic hatred people have for her, even some conservatives.   Personally, I love Sarah.   What's not to like?  She's independent, strong, conservative, has no problem challenging the establishment on either side.  She can kill and skin her own food, for cryin' out loud!   She is one of the very few public figures who have the guts to directly call Obama out on his lies.  And despite the media spin, I think she's smart and has a lot of common sense.  Sure, she speaks plainly and comes off a little "folksy", so what?  Look what a bunch of Ivy League elites have done to this country!    Our founding fathers intended for ordinary people to step into government, do their duty, then return to normal life.  We have career politicians who are worried about nothing more than reelection.

So, what does a proposed UN agreement have in common with random thug attacks in Chicago, you ask?

Well, they both have to do with our 2nd amendment rights.   According to Forbes magazine, a proposed UN agreement (all terms not yet made public) this will supersede state and national gun laws to align them more with other countries.  Many, if not most, other countries, particularly in Europe have strict gun control and this could set other things in motion that could conceivably at some point allow for total gun confiscation if the UN desires.  The Obama administration supports this.  Click to read the article:

http://blogs.forbes.com/larrybell/2011/06/07/u-n-agreement-should-have-all-gun-owners-up-in-arms/2/

Concerning the random attacks/muggings in Chicago (which has strict gun laws), I have 2 words; CONCEALED CARRY.   The old saying "when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns" is exactly the truth.    I have worked in and around law enforcement and many, many, many, if not most, offenders with more than 1 felony also have at least 1 conviction for "felon in possession of a firearm" because the nature of criminals is: to disobey the law!!!  Seriously, how do people not get this??   Article in the Tribune has details:

Wisconsin Update

Well, the protesters are still at it.. yet I hear people complain about the Republicans stifling democracy??  Seriously?? These union/Democrat/Commie slugs are trying to interrupt the process because its not going their way.  Pathetic.  They want mob rule, not democracy.. and for the millionth time, we are not a democracy!!  We are a representative republic.  See this clip about a bunch of losers interrupting a Special Olympics event.  Pathetic...

And then there's this shining example of the "new tone" and "civility" we've witnessed over and over....

Wisconsin Round-up

First off, union membership will no longer be mandatory and people will not have to pay dues if they choose not to.. YEAH, BABY!    This is choice....  why is it these people only like choice when it comes to killing babies, not when it comes to union membership, or what light bulbs or toilets to buy, or school choice or the choice to buy and carry a firearm???

http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/264545/opting-out-unionization-katrina-trinko

The "unionistas"  (taken from Badger Blogger) continue to win friends and influence people.. keep it up, guys.  I'm sure the average Joe will have lotsa sympathy for you people who have time and resources to hang around and disrupt government while the rest of us are working our tails off to make ends meet.  Keep it up....   we'll be glad to give you more rope.

Canary in the coal mine.

Anti-semitism has been around forever, and will be around until the end of time.  It was "under wraps" for a while, but there have been increases in blatant anti-semitism over the years, particularly where Israel is concerned.  Europe has had several incidents of vandalism in Jewish cemeteries in the past few years.  Now, a group in San Francisco is trying to outlaw circumcision, but in their "campaign" for this cause, they have come out with a comic that is so very blatantly anti-Semitic it makes my head hurt.  Hot Air has an entry about this..  read it and weep.

http://hotair.com/archives/2011/06/04/circumcision-hatred-it-was-only-a-matter-of-time/

A better point of view from Andrew Klavan:

We already knew this...but bless Ben Shapiro for documenting it..

Most of us on the right have known for years that the entertainment and media businesses by and large promote a leftist viewpoint (I REFUSE to use the word "progressive" to describe these people).  There are many, many TV shows I won't watch,  celebrities whose movies I won't pay for, and other entertainment that is just spoiled for me based on the blatant bias in them.  The way conservatives or Republicans are always portrayed, the anti-gun message, the anti-Bush garbage, the list goes on and on.   Ben Shapiro has conducted interviews with several top Hollywood people who have admitted this, finally....  his book is coming out soon.  Click the link for the full story.  It's really something else.
